Launch of website for Community Workers

www.law4community.org.au

Fitzroy Legal Service has now launched Law4community a new website for community workers to find legal services and information. Law4community addresses the growing need for legal information specific to the services offered by community workers. It provides information on how to avoid or manage legal issues faced by clients.

Features of Law4community www.law4community.org.au are:

* A simple directory which can locate legal services using an easy three step process.
* A series of practical legal checklists to flag possible legal issues and where to get assistance.
* Information and articles on the latest policy reform affecting the community sector

Law4Community is a companion website to the comprehensive, The Law Handbook Online, a practical guide to the law in Victoria. Together they provide accessible legal information for the community to better manage their legal issues and to consider the law when making decisions.

This is an excellent resource for all community workers so please make your staff aware of it and encourage all to familiarise themselves with it and use it when needing legal help for clients.
