Training for Interviewing Staff
A volunteer who interviews members of the public must complete the
CIVic endorsed training program. There is a five-stage Training
Program, as follows:
Stage One - Selection
Stage Two - Agency Orientation
Stage Three - CHCCS416A 50-hour training
Stage Four - Probationary Period
Stage Five - Ongoing Training

accredited competency (Code CHCCS416A) which comprises 36 hours in
the classroom and a 14-hour on-the-job training component. For more

becoming a volunteer in one of our Community Information and
Support Centres (CISCs), please contact the Volunteer Coordinator
of your local CISC. Volunteer/Training Coordinators can register
volunteers for the CIVic training by completing the CHCCS416A
Registration Form.
