CIVic provides the following training for our interviewing staff:

Training for Interviewing Staff
A volunteer who interviews members of the public must complete the CIVic endorsed training program. There is a five-stage Training Program, as follows:

Stage One - Selection
Stage Two - Agency Orientation
Stage Three - CHCCS416A 50-hour training
Stage Four - Probationary Period
Stage Five - Ongoing Training

Information Kit
An Information Kit for prospective volunteers is now available for all members and this is available in the Members Section under Training Resources.  You can download this Information Kit for New Volunteers and print it for prospective volunteers.

Assess and Provide Services for Clients with Complex Needs
Below are the 50-hour training opportunities. This is a nationally accredited competency (Code CHCCS416A) which comprises 36 hours in the classroom and a 14-hour on-the-job training component. For more information, please see our FAQ page.

If you are interested in attending the 50-hour training and becoming a volunteer in one of our Community Information and Support Centres (CISCs), please contact the Volunteer Coordinator of your local CISC. Volunteer/Training Coordinators can register volunteers for the CIVic training by completing the CHCCS416A Registration Form.
